2009 T-shirt Contest

Postby TreeBones on Sun Nov 30, 2008 9:58 pm

OK. Since its way past New Years the better name would be 2009 T-shirt Contest.
The timing for a final tally from members is close at hand. One week from today, Saturday the 14th, the remainder of final entry's will be added to the Poll options. One week of voting will be open. We will Talley Up on Sunday the 22nd and have a Final Winner! I'm pretty sure we will loose all previous votes when I add the new shirt options. I would like to see us get the best shirt possible. Please share any design ideas, graphics, clip art, slogans or, whatever, just ask if I can help.
I like all the shirts and look forward to the final winner.

Original dates and amount of entry's per member have been changed but the overall concept remains intact, to have a great shirt we all like.
Thanks for your patience and participation.

Original Post
As we round the corner and head into 2009 Saw Bucks will celebrate the New Year with a Design Contest to develop an official Saw Bucks T-Shirt. The challenge will be to design a T-Shirt that represents what we are all about. Create a new slogan, logo (or use the one we have) you can add photos or graphics of your choice. The winning entry will be decided by a vote of our members and become the official Saw Bucks T-Shirt for 2009. Open to all members entries will be posted for review and a poll will be taken to choose the most popular shirt. Each member will have the opportunity to enter one design and make one vote. Designer of the winning entry will receive Two Free Shirts. The New Saw Bucks shirts will be printed up and available to all members at the actual printing and shipping cost. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
Rules;
Must be Saw Bucks Member to Participate. “Saw Bucks” must be the main theme of the shirt. Design needs to include something for both the front and back of a short sleeve T-shirt (no pocket). The front and back must be different and must include a slogan, a logo or both. The shirt will be made of 6.1 oz. 100% preshrunk cotton. There are 60 colors available including white. The lettering can also be in color or black. All design entries must be developed on the Coustomink website where you can use there on line design tools (this will be the easiest way to upload photos (or similar resources at your disposal). One design per member. One vote per member. Just ask if you need help with photo or logos.

Follow the link below to see the CustomeInk website where you can use your email address to set up an account and get started! Contest entries will be excepted until January 31st 2009. A member vote will begin on February 1st 2009, voting will close on February 15th 2009. Orders for the winning shirt will be taken and T-Shirts will be printed and delivered during the last two weeks of February and throughout the year as needed.

Just wanted to check in with everyone to see if I am the only one still working on a shirt design or if there are other ideas out there that are being put together by anyone. If it is to much to have both sides of a shirt with something on it please let me know. I found it is a task greater than I thought. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I will do one but I work best against a deadline, which I believe is January 31. So I will start it pretty soon.

Getting close and I know of only two shirts so far (one is mine) and will post them soon. Just as a note if my shirt gets the winning votes it would seem unfair so if that happens to be the case I will send out four shirts to the members with the highest amount of posts to date.

Here's the first couple shirts! Don't be afraid to make suggestions. If you haven't started a shirt yet check it out, http://www.customink.com/ give it a try and sent me a link!
I will start a poll as soon as we get a little more shirts to see!

I can tell that passing the info around has lowered the quality of my artwork; I hope these show the pictures better. Be assured the shirts would not come out blurry:

The front picture is a picture of an old mill, the back side is an embossed new mill.

I am not having much luck with the t shirt editor, it don't like my email address and will not save the shirt.

Shirt #3 The photo is a little fuzy because I enlarged it by 300% to post here. It will come out very clear if printed.
