I had some big Alders that would have worked but cut them in half to get them to the mill.

I suppose we could make two with Jeff's Alaskan mill, probably would take us all day plus the $300 to hire a logger to move the longer logs.

Doesn't sound like a cost effective idea. Perhaps the customer could learn to make a scarf joints and just marry two beams together to get the length.
